IT Applications Team Leader 

I manage a team of Applications Analysts and Developers who support existing software applications, and work on customising and developing new software. I also project manage software development and implementation projects, as well as help to identify new opportunities for software to help the business.

IT Applications are key to supporting and driving the business forward. For example, software applications are used to run the manufacturing plants, to store and analyse data to help with new product development, and to manage pricing information for the Sales and Marketing team.

There’s no such thing as a typical day in my job – that’s what makes it so exciting! One day may be very technical where I’m looking at potential software solutions for a problem with the team. The next, I may be having functional and technical discussions with software vendors, while the next may be focused on solving problems with the business. It’s a real mixed bag and I’m always on the go – fantastic!

I particularly enjoy the opportunity to think creatively and come up with new ideas to solve problems. The most enjoyable moments are when someone in the business tells you that a software application has really helped in her job.

I have only been at Infineum for a year but my role has expanded by taking on responsibility for applications in the UK outside of just Technology. There is certainly no shortage of opportunities at Infineum.

Initially, I was only responsible for a subset of applications in the Technology area. I now report to the Global Applications Leader and my responsibilities have grown to include applications in all areas of the business.

The people at Infineum are very friendly and there is a great working atmosphere. Infineum is very supportive of its colleagues and very good at giving them opportunities to develop. I have a very positive impression of the company and would certainly recommend working at Infineum to anyone
