Making waves at ICIS – our view of the global marine lubricant market
The ICIS Middle Eastern Base Oils & Lubricants conference is billed as the pre-eminent conference in the region for delivering information on the latest industry trends.  The agenda covered the challenges facing the base oils and lubricants industry and was attended by the major players in the region and many from further afield.  Sylvain Leblanc, Infineum Global Marine Manager, presented a paper on Infineum’s view of the global marine market.


50 issues of Insight
In this 50th issue of Insight we look at how the trends that have helped to shape our industry over the past 12 years have been captured in the magazine.


The Dragon roars on
China is the most exciting and fastest growing economy in the world.  Insight looks at the vehicle market, the measures being introduced to reduce pollution in some of China’s major cities and talks to Petronas and Sinopec about how these changes might impact the lubricants market. 


Gas engine lubricants
The popular F&L Asia conference, which attracts scientists and technologists from around the world, was held in Singapore earlier this year.  The event, in its 17th year, featured a wealth of papers and presentations. Insight reports on two papers, focusing on developments in gas engine lubrication, presented by Fred Girshick, a member of Infineum’s Marine and Large Engine Technology Group.
