As a member of the Crankcase Development Technology team, I am responsible for scoping out and developing innovative formulations to meet emerging crankcase lubricant requirements. My main work involves developing fundamental understanding of additives and base oils in areas applicable to lubricant performance.
I lead the group of technologists and laboratory chemists who collectively make up the Passenger Car Formulation Team. I have accountability for resourcing, stewarding and delivering the agreed portfolio of passenger car motor oil (PCMO) projects and providing work direction to the colleagues within the team
I apply physical/colloid chemistry to the development of functional fluids and particles to solve industrial technical problems of next generation colloidal additives for use in lubricants
