Question and Answers
Q. I don’t appear to be qualified for any open roles. Can I still submit my resume?
A. Yes, please submit your resume electronically, stating the type of role for which you believe you are qualified. We will then review your submission against future openings.
Q. I’ve already applied for a position at Infineum and have not been successful. Can I apply for another role?
A. Yes. Even if you were not successful in your previous application, we encourage you to apply again if you meet the requirements of other positions.
Q. If I join Infineum, what is the likelihood of my being promoted?
A. It really will depend on your skills and abilities. Our overarching intent is to promote from within. All of our open positions are advertised internally to provide colleagues with an opportunity to move to other roles. Infineum is not a hierarchically-structured organisation. Therefore, our culture is focused more on working collaboratively to broaden roles and experience, rather than working in strict hierarchical lines.
Q. What are the opportunities to work internationally?
A. We are very global in terms of our working practices and processes. A high percentage of colleagues will work with others in a different region on a regular basis, which may result in international travel. Approximately 10% of our roles have expatriate terms. These roles are advertised internally. Therefore, if you have the skill set required and are successful in applying for a position, you may be an expatriate for a period of time.
Q. Do many people leave your organisation?
A. As an organisation, Infineum experiences extremely low colleague attrition. Those who join us tend to stay over the long term. There are many excellent reasons for this colleague loyalty: Our culture is very supportive and stable, the work is interesting, we promote from within and our benefit package is excellent. We consider ourselves to be a top tier employer and our intention is to retain colleagues for the long term.
Q. I’m not a citizen of the country in which I’d like to work. Will you sponsor me for a work visa?
A. It depends on the work assignment. In the main, we are most likely to sponsor those who have PhD’s.
