Infineum’s hard work and continued success in achieving extremely high standards in the areas of safety, health, environment, security, and community outreach, was recognized with an American Chemistry Council’s 2008 Responsible Care® Leadership Award.
Earlier this month, Infineums hard work and continued success in achieving extremely high standards in the areas of safety, health, environment, security, and community outreach, was recognised with an American Chemistry Councils 2008 Responsible Care® Leadership Award. ACC presents annual awards to a small, a medium, and a large company that demonstrate performance excellence and leadership in the above mentioned areas. Infineum received this years award in the small company category.
Infineums commitment to the Responsible Care ethic drives multiple activities with its employees, customers, local communities and other stakeholders. Examples of these activities include, but are not limited to, employees participation in numerous behavioral-based safety observation programs, which allow them to increase their awareness and eliminate at-risk behaviors, as well as in community outreach programs for the betterment of our communities. About one third of Infineum employees at the Linden facilities actively volunteer in company-sponsored outreach activities.
In addition, Infineum employees actively participate in monthly meetings with neighbors, school educators and administrators, emergency responders, representatives from environmental organisations, and government officials, to share information about the operations and the safety and environmental programs of our facilities.
