Infineum Appoints New General Manager for
Asia Pacific
Infineum,
the petroleum additives enterprise, recently announced the appointment
of Somchai Kornkanitnan to the new position of General Manager,
Asia Pacific. This position was created to further drive the company's
market position and leverage new growth opportunities in the Asia
Pacific region.
In his new role, Mr Kornkanitnan
will oversee the development and implementation of Infineum's strategic
initiatives in Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for the alignment
of regional infrastructure with corporate strategies as well as
the company's regional manufacturing activities. In addition, he
will be in charge of the Asia Pacific organisation and colleague
development.
Mr Kornkanitnan brings
with him a wealth of experience having accumulated 15 years in the
petroleum additives industry and five years in other chemical industries.
He previously served as Infineum's World-wide Business Manager (Small
Engine Lubricants) in which he was responsible for the strategies
and profitability of the Small Engine Lubricants segment business
portfolio. Prior to that, Mr Kornkanitnan was the Asia Pacific Fuels
Business Manager of Exxon Chemical Paramins Singapore Pte Ltd.
Mr Kornkanitnan received
his Honour's degree in Chemical Engineering from King Mongkut's
Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.

Vice President, Asia Pacific. Mr Dance will soon return to Linden
in USA to assume the position of Vice President, Technology.
Infineum is one of the
market leaders in the development, manufacture and sales of petroleum
additives for fuels and lubricants. Formed as a joint venture between
ExxonMobil Chemical Company, a division of the Exxon Mobil Corporation,
The Shell Petroleum Company Ltd and Shell Oil Company, Infineum
became fully operational on 1 January 1999. The company has its
world-wide office in Theale in the UK, with three regional business
centres located at Milton Hill in UK, Linden in USA and in Singapore.
In addition, Infineum has four technology centres; 19 manufacturing
sites plus sales and marketing representation in over 70 countries
around the world.
