Infineum, one of the world's
leading suppliers of petroleum additives for fuels and lubricants,
has appointed Trevor Russell as their new worldwide sales vice president,
responsible for global sales, supply chain and customer service. The
appointment is effective as of January 1, 2001.
Formerly vice president of Infineum's Specialities Division, Russell
will be based at the company's head office in the UK. Russell succeeds
current sales vice president, Dave Corson, who will retire during
the second quarter of 2001.
Russell joined Exxon Chemical
in 1980 and has dedicated almost all of that time to the lubricating
oils and fuel additives business. He has held positions in Distribution,
Business Analysis, Marketing and Sales. In 1985, he became European
Specialities Product Manager based in Brussels and four years later
was appointed worldwide manager for Heavy Duty Engine Oil Additives.
In 1991 he became worldwide
manager for Passenger Car Motor Oil Additives based in Linden, New
Jersey, and for the two years prior to the formation of Infineum
was European Sales Director, based in the UK.
Throughout his many Sales
and Marketing assignments, he has forged close relationships with
customers and OEMs around the world.
Tony Gaskell, chief executive
officer, commented:
"Trevor Russell has
a distinguished track record in the additives industry over many
years, and has contributed significantly to the start up of Infineum
and in particular building the Specialties Business Unit. He will
now be able to apply his considerable experience and skills to our
sales organisation, dedicated to serving our global customer base."
