More than 70 years ago Infineum introduced the first commercial pour point depressant, marking not only the start of our history as a global additive leader, but the first recognition of additives as a distinct, specialized field of technology. We led the way with the first viscosity modifier (also called VM, viscosity index improver and VII) and products for cold temperature performance of mono- and multi-grade oils, among other firsts.

Our crankcase offerings include high quality viscosity modifiers to complement detergent inhibitor additive packages. We offer two distinct families of viscosity modifiers to meet the diverse performance requirements of our customers: Infineum SV and Infineum OCP.

The Infineum SV family comprises an array of products designed to deliver the demanding performance required of today's top tier lubricants, including OEM factory fill and synthetic lubricants

Infineum OCP is offered as a medium shear stability viscosity modifier in solid and a variety of dissolved grades to formulate mainline lubricants with a wide array of performance attributes

• Based on highly optimized "low ethylene" (also known as amorphous) OCP technology for best-of-breed retention of low temperature pumpability
• Single mid range shear stability designed to simplify our customers’ blend plant logistics by enabling them to formulate both passenger car and heavy duty diesel engine oil lubricants with a single VM
• Highly compatible with a broad range of base stock technologies, including catalytically iso-dewaxed base stocks

Both viscosity modifier families are offered in solid as well as in a variety of dissolved grades to deliver the most cost optimized solution for our customers.
