Position Summary

The role will provide effective sourcing leadership on the Packed Transportation, Warehousing, Drumming & Filling Category, linking with Global Transport requirements, examining the external marketplace with internal business needs through development and execution of effective sourcing strategy. The successful candidate will provide support and advice to the EMEA team of buyers, regional sourcing lead and other key stakeholders. We are looking for a proven procurement manager/ category manager with a customer focus and experience in procurement management or category-based procurement.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide leadership across all aspects of the category pillar
  • Work directly with Global Procurement Cluster Managers, other Global Category Leaders and regional Sourcing Leaders to develop appropriate sourcing strategies for the category ensuring alignment with Global Logistics and Supply Chain teams
  • Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and represent Infineum as the owner of the supplier interface
  • Effectively negotiate contracts across all materials in the category. Understand the marketplace drivers ensuring supply security at the best available market pricing.
  • Ensure compliance to operational integrity procedures, business & financial control processes, training and assessment schedules internally
  • Represent Procurement with Supply Chain internal client and the Infineum Procurement function in external discussions
  • Continually review marketplace for new suppliers/innovative approaches which could bring technical/commercial advantage to Infineum

A successful candidate is likely to have:
  • Procurement experience, logistics categories preferred
  • Previous experience in commercial roles including commercial deal building and negotiation experience required
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Strong relationship building and teamwork skills
  • Aptitude for managing multiple priorities
  • Engineering degree or Chemical Engineering degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
