Infineum is seeking talented scientists to join our growing technology function. With our exciting and varied careers you could be working on fundamental research projects on component development, working on the design or development of our next generation of performance chemical additives for automotive lubricants or liaising with customers to help develop bespoke products.

What you will do
  • Synthesise, analyse and performance test new components
  • Design, recommend and execute experimental programmes with guidance from supervisor
  • Interact with internal and external contacts as required to progress projects
  • Participate in project teams, frequently presenting results and conclusions to the wider team
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of certain laboratory and analytical equipment
What you will have
  • A 2.1 or first-class degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • Strong technical competencies including data manipulation, record documentation and ability to draw technically sound conclusions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop personal relationships with colleagues and external service providers
  • Well-developed time management and personal organisational skills
  • Capability to overcome obstacles using your own initiative and with minimal intervention from supervisor
