test companies, engineering consultancies and OEMs.

Mechanism understanding is crucial as you will work in a powertrain-focused role on a diverse range of technical projects.

What you might be doing:
  • Contributing to fundamental research projects across lubrication performance areas; wear, cleanliness or friction reduction
  • Develop and translate engineering understanding and knowledge to Chemists and Chemical Engineers for the development of oils for new and existing combustion engines such as LD, HDD and Marine applications
  • Work on the Engineering Team’s critical technology projects
  • Partner with external engineering consultancies when project scope requires
  • Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences that influence preferred outcomes
Suitable candidates are likely to have:
  • The objective to follow a Master’s Degree at IFP School in MOT, PWT or PRO
  • Interest in engines and powertrains, with knowledge of lubrication being advantageous
  • Awareness of main transport industry drivers
  • An innovative mind that likes to problem solve
  • Analysis skills to interpret data allowing technical judgements and hypothesis testing
  • A desire to learn new versatile competencies
  • Willingness
