The Manufacturing Planner plans and oversees the execution of major maintenance work within the Bayway Chemical Plant, including, but not limited to specific major repairs / improvement items, and unit and site-wide shutdowns. A successful candidate needs to interface with leaders in Operations, Safety, Maintenance and contractors to develop shutdown plans that meet plant goals with safety, production demand, and cost budgets. Position is an important member of the Maintenance and Reliability group with “safety first” culture driven by the fact a reliable plant is a safe plant.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you
  • Plan unit and plant turnarounds including total execution cost and duration
  • Execute turnaround plans utilizing internal and contract resources to meet plan requirements
  • Plan and coordinate major Maintenance jobs, including vessel inspections and individual budgeted items
  • Coordinate Maintenance resources with Maintenance Scheduler and Process-Maintenance Coordinators to complete major Maintenance jobs
  • Optimize Maintenance business practices and processes to deliver best in class Maintenance efficiency and cost
    Support production through optimized plans that limit downtime and achievement of equipment availability/ reliability targets
  • Awareness of Infineum Safety, Business and Organizational systems to best perform job
  • Interface with Unit Team to define equipment preparation and work schedule
  • Provide detailed comprehensive look ahead schedules to leadership to support budget and production planning

  • Contributor to cost performance goal achievement through use of CMMS system and cost reporting activities
  • Participate in audits to ensure proper documentation and execution against standards
  • Any additional responsbilties as assigned
A successful candidate is likely to have:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering preferred
  • At least 10 years Chemical Plant or Refinery experience
  • Minimum five (5) years proven experience in Maintenance, Manufacturing or Project Planning
  • Project Management experience - specifically planning and cost control
  • Labor Relations Management (Union) interface experience preferred
  • Strong computer (MS Office) skills
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
A successful candidate is likely to have:
  • Advanced or continuing education
  • 3 or more years’ experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or other relevant work areas
  • Knowledge in Manufacturing and /or Supply Chain processes
  • Computer literacy — knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge in MRP/MIMI planning tools
  • Good oral and written communication skills
