This job is a full-time position responsible for the design and development of capital projects in Infineum’s Global Engineering group. The role will deliver projects efficiently while achieving stated goals (i.e. safety, improvement, ROI, reliability). This role also requires applying process design knowledge and experience to ensure the facilities meet Infineum standards and practices. The position requires interfacing and collaborating with site management, operations and maintenance, global engineering as well as third party inputs on costs and design. The candidate shall be able to work in self-directed as well as collaborative environments, while maintaining a high level of accountability to the project development outcome.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you
  • Develop design basis memorandums (DBM) – used to communicate the design basis to key stakeholders at an early stage
  • Develop process design specifications (PDS) – used as project blue print for project execution
  • Support development of Project Execution Plans (PEP)
  • Lead Integrated Project Teams (IPT)
  • Apply a disciplined approach to progress a project concept through the gated project development process
  • Manage project planning and front end engineering stages of project development
  • Support project execution/detailed engineering stage of project development
  • Support economic tabulations to enable meeting cost benefit targets
  • Use process design knowledge to: perform common design calculations; verify vendor calculation/ design; perform proof of concept check; apply concept from technical group to plant operations; interface with engineering specialists / project engineers / cost estimators
  • Participate in global networks involved with improving the development process and sharing process design experience
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned
A successful candidate is likely to have:
  • Education: Bachelor degree in chemical engineering
  • Experience: 8-10 years process engineering experience required
  • Experience utilizing industry design, engineering and process safety standards (i.e., ASME, API)
  • Knowledge of project development and execution process; specifically stage/gate process a plus
  • Attention to detail; clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and proactive worker; strong team player in collaborative and leadership roles
  • Ability to interact with organizational levels both horizontally and vertically.
  • Ability to manage contract resources and a variety of projects simultaneously
A successful candidate is likely to have:
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • PE, PMP, MBA Knowledge of project development and execution process as a plus
