Position Summary:  

  • The Process Engineer is a member of the Singapore Plant Technical Team.
  • This role is responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives to achieve high performance of production units, and to enhance their capabilities in capacity, quality and HSSE.
  • The incumbent reports to the Plant Technical Leader.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

  • Develop & implement initiatives to enhance capability & increase production efficiency of production unit, and in other areas of safety, quality, health & environmental protection.
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving unit performance.
  • Key interface to process specialist and is responsible for the transfer of technical knowledge to support plant operations.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders on process troubleshooting.
  • Develop and appropriate funds for Capital Investment Projects.
  • Steward accurate mass balance of production units.
  • Any other roles and responsibilities assigned.

 What will you gain from this role?

  • This role will develop your technical capability as a process engineer to troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements.
  • This role also involves working closely with other functions in the company internal and external to the plant, which enables establishing strong networks and broad knowledge of the organization.
  • Possible opportunity for a stint in Operations to gain experience in planning, operations and maintenance of the production units.

A successful candidate is likely to have:

  • A good honours degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a process engineer, preferably in process design or manufacturing support.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project economics or process control concepts will be an added advantage.
  • Ability, innovativeness and flexibility to lead/handle multiple tasks. Result oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in interfaces with different functions.
