This job is a full-time position responsible for the design and development of capital projects in Infineum’s Global Engineering group. The role will deliver projects efficiently while achieving stated goals (i.e. safety, improvement, ROI, reliability). This role also requires applying process design knowledge to ensure the facilities meet Infineum standards and practices.  The position requires interfacing and collaborating with site management, operations and maintenance, global engineering as well as third party inputs on costs and design.  The candidate shall be able to work in self-directed as well as collaborative environments, while maintaining a high level of accountability to the project development outcome.

This position will be based at Koln but will be part of the Global Engineering Team. Therefore it will be required to participate to the Global Engineering Communities of Practices and to contribute to the success of projects in other Infineum locations.

 

 

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you
  • Acknowledge the project scope, objectives and priorities and ensure they are maintained during the project development stages.

  • Use process design knowledge to: perform common design calculations; coordinate engineering contractors; verify vendor calculation / design; interface with engineering specialists / project engineers / cost estimators.

  • Apply a disciplined approach to progress a project concept through the stages / gates project development process.

  • Develop directly or through engineering contractors:
    - design basis memorandums (DBM) – used to communicate the design basis
      to key stakeholders at an early stage.
    - process design specifications (PDS) – used as project blue print for project
      execution.

  • Identify all stakeholders (HSSE, operations, maintenance, process, PCC, planning, etc..) required for the project stage and manage their successful contribution by leading the integrated project team – IPT.

  • Manage project planning and front-end engineering stages of project development.

  • Support project execution/detailed engineering stage of project development.

  • Support economic tabulations to enable meeting cost benefit targets.

  • Call and lead the internal reviews according to Infineum capital budget process.

  • Participate in global networks involved with improving the development process and sharing process design experience

  • Ability to interact with organizational levels both horizontally and vertically.

  • PE, PMP, MBA Knowledge of project development and execution process as a plus
