The Regional Market Manager (RMM) - EMEA - Specialties, is a primary advisor of the sales director to provide support for regional marketing and product strategies of the Specialties segments in the EMEA region. The RMM is the commercial line expert for regional market, product deployment strategies and regional advisor for margin improvement guidance. The RMM role involves diversity of interactions at Sales, Marketing and Technology interface. The role covers four business segments namely Power Transmission Fluids, Gas Engine Oils, Railroad and Small Engines.

Key Outputs: What you will be doing

Primary liaison between Sales and Technology including Industry Liaison

  • Responsible for regional deployment activities including communication of product development plans to Sales

Owner of the regional segment strategy and primary link between Global Marketing and Regional Sales

  • Responsible to provide key insights and input into the development of the Global Specialties strategy
  • Translate Specialties Segment value proposition and support marketing in the development of regional implementation strategy
  • Provide marketing trends and future product needs to Portfolio Manager (PM) based on feedback from the market and sales
  • Owner of regional competitor and market intelligence activities


Responsible for regional pricing activities for Specialties Segment

  • Support segment in pricing activities and steward regional segment margin
  • Determining and setting service level and customer behavior discounts and support Segment Managers in minimum price setting

Determine need and approve Marketing Communication programs
Support the annual budget setting process and prioritise budget expenditure by seeking best value for the business

  • Provide the PM with a list of EMEA deployment projects including cost and value
  • Provide relevant financial input to the PM to help in setting the right priority for the regions
