As part of the TSO team, the TSO Specialist provides support to Technology groups for engine and bench testing performed at 3rd party test laboratories, which are critical for Technology programs.  This customer services role is key to coordinate, manage and prioritise all testing and communication activities between internal customers and the test labs. The role provides expert knowledge and guidance on TSO processes and must have a clear understanding of SAP contracts and IRIS set up for each test lab. Thus, providing guidance and solutions to complex testing requirements for Technology customers.  Additionally, this role provides SAP/IRIS transactional support and ensures that payments are actioned on time and any obstacles resolved while following financial control processes. This role contributes to a reliable end-to-end service for Technology when organising testing activities with the main contracted test labs

Key Outputs:

  • Liaise with internal customers and external test labs to secure and manage daily test requirements
• To communicate proactively and efficiently with customers and service providers, building good working relationships with both
• Follow Finance, Procurement and Technology processes and procedures for all SAP and IRIS transactions to comply with all processes
• Monthly payment reconciliation for engine test labs and resolving any payment issues caused by Technology/IRIS/SAP or other
• Verify, resolve and document payment discrepancies
• SAP administration to ensure test realisation and prompt payment to vendors
• Maintain all documents/evidence required for ATC, ACC, Technology and Financial audits  
• Drive greater simplification and admin efficiencies within TSO operations
• Understanding of IRIS EDT template creation and resolving of EDT issues
• Provide cover and support for other members of the TSO
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned

A successful candidate is likely to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Engineering preferred or minimum of 3 years’ similar work experience
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Some experience of a LIMS systems and electronic data exchange
• Strong self-starter and effective under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
• Able to effectively manage projects
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• Flexing work style and approach adapting to the situation and to changing priorities
• Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision and use their own initiative
• Work to our internal quality procedures
• Previous experience of IRIS (preferred) and/or SAP

• An understanding of all Microsoft office software is required
