Sustainability is a core component of our purpose and vision, and in 2025, we launched a new strategic framework to guide the organisation towards our 2030 ambitions on climate, environmental and social performance. Our sustainability ambitions are structured into three strategic pillars:

1. Making our operations and supply chains more sustainable: focusing on achieving our net zero ambitions and enhancing sustainability performance throughout our value chain.
2. Delivering a growing portfolio of sustainability solutions for our customers: focusing on translating sustainability improvements into value-added offerings for our customers.
3. Creating positive outcomes for colleagues and communities: focusing on investing in our colleagues and engaging our local communities.

This framework establishes a broader and more comprehensive approach to managing environmental and social performance and embeds sustainability into our core management structures. Its implementation is stewarded through a strengthened governance and escalation process to oversee sustainability initiatives and investments alongside other strategic priorities. This includes quarterly leadership reviews to assess key strategic and operational areas through a sustainability lens.

Revising our ambitions
While this strategy extends our ambitions in several areas, such as waste to landfill reduction or community engagement, it also introduces revised near-term emission reduction ambitions. These revised emission reduction trajectories reflect our most up-to-date assessment of what is realistically achievable in current market conditions, while maintaining our long-term direction of travel. Our new near-term ambition for the intensity of our scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions is to achieve a 35% reduction by 2030, from a 2018 baseline. Our ambition for scope 3 emissions is to achieve a 20% reduction by 2035, compared to a 2018 baseline. Our long-term ambition to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 remains in place.
