In 2023, we launched our ambition of reaching net zero emissions for our scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from our operated assets, by 2050. This ambition was developed in support of the Paris Agreement’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction pathway.
In 2026, we revised our near-term emission reduction trajectories to reflect our most up-to-date assessment of what is realistically achievable in current market conditions, while maintaining our long-term direction of travel. Our ambition for scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions is to reduce emissions per tonne of product by 35% by 2030, from a 2018 baseline. Our ambition for scope 3 emissions is to achieve a 20% absolute reduction by 2035, compared to a 2018 baseline. Progress towards these ambitions enables us to develop lower-carbon products and help our customers to achieve their GHG emissions objectives, thereby driving improvements across our value chain.
The extent of ultimate achievement of the above ambitions could vary depending on various factors, including Infineum’s ability to execute operational objectives, supportive changes in laws and regulations, and other market factors. See CAUTIONARY STATEMENT for more details.
