Site description

 

Infineum Brazil is located within a petrochemical site shared with Cosan (site operator and former ExxonMobil Lubes) and ExxonMobil Chemical Company. It is situated at one corner of Ilha do Governador, which is inside Guanabara Bay and connected by a bridge to the city (just 20 km from downtown Rio). The integration of the industrial facilities with the amazing surrounding landscape makes it one of the most pleasant sites to work in at Infineum.

Community support

 

Infineum Brazil and its two site neighbours have developed an extensive community relationship program consisting of:

• Regular milk donation to a nearby public hospital
• Sponsorship of sports activities for children from underprivileged communities around the plant
• Regular maintenance of a nearby public square
• Annual sponsorship of summer camp for children from disadvantaged communities

We are also working toward eventual facilities maintenance or an equipment donation for the Public Fire Brigade and the State Police on the island.
