Touching the Lives of Children

Volunteering - 30 October 2024

Colleagues from our sites in China and Spain made donations towards causes that support the well-being of underprivileged children.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team in China led colleagues at our Beijing and Shanghai sites to raise 53,000 Chinese yuan that was donated to Shanghai Baby Home, a non-profit organisation that supports the medical care for orphans with congenital diseases. Donations from our China colleagues were used to fund the surgery costs of two children with spinal cord-related illnesses.

Upon their successful surgeries, the children returned to the Baby Home. Several colleagues used their volunteering day, a benefit offered to every Infineum employee that allowed them to dedicate an extra day of annual leave to support their community, to spend time with the two children and others at the Baby Home.

Our sales office in Madrid, Spain had donated 2,500 euros to the Yamba Project, which supports children and their families in Uganda. The donation will go towards constructing an orphanage, enabling vulnerable children to receive an education and improve their quality of life.

Alfredo Mendoza, Account Manager, says, “I am pleased that we have been able to contribute to this worthwhile cause and I look forward to the development of the orphanage that will positively impact the lives of many children.”

Infineum actively encourages our colleagues to give back to their local communities through volunteering. For more information about Infineum’s sustainability initiatives, please visit: https://www.infineum.com/sustainability/.
