Celebrating World Day of Cultural Diversity

DEI - 19 May 2023

Today we celebrate our fantastic multicultural community ahead of World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development which is a global event instituted by UNESCO and held every year on 21 May.

We are marking this day to highlight the work Infineum is doing to improve its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) which is part of our sustainability approach. According to the UN, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can best be achieved by drawing upon the creative potential of the world’s diverse cultures. So, cultural diversity is a driving force of development, not only with respect to economic growth, but also as a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual life.

Therefore, our Ethnicity Affinity Group has asked colleagues from different cultural backgrounds to share their thoughts about working at Infineum from a cultural diversity perspective.

Nicola Pickup, EVP Supply and Operational Excellence said: At Infineum we believe that our strength lies in our differences, where each colleague brings their unique perspective and ideas, nurturing an environment of growth and innovation.

“As Executive sponsor of Inclusion and Diversity at Infineum, I am delighted to see us celebrating World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development in this way and I want to thank all the colleagues who shared their thoughts.”
