As part of our commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, improving the wellbeing of the communities where we operate, Infineum Italy was involved in a partnership project called Carta Bimbi (Children’s Card) which helps families with children aged 0-6 years who are entitled to social benefits to buy childcare products.

Companies operating in Vado Ligure including Vado Tank Cleaning, Marenzana and Stolt Tank Containers Italy as well as Infineum Italia, together with Vado local council, contributed to providing shopping vouchers for use in local shops to buy a variety of childcare products.

Our HR assistant, Cristina Rizzi (pictured) along with representatives from the partner organisations involved in the project distributed the Carta Bimbi vouchers at a local council event, meeting many of the entitled families in person.

Cristina said: “We do our best to follow our sustainability approach and make a positive impact in our communities. We wanted to do our part to help families in need in our local area and it’s been so rewarding to see the smiles of people receiving the vouchers. There is still a lot to do, and we hope that the scope of this initiative will widen because currently there are over 200 families in Vado desperately needing financial assistance.

"This innovative partnership between public and private sectors shows how economic and industrial development can contribute to fostering new, valuable routes for the welfare of the community - in particular, helping lower-income families living in the surrounding areas of large corporate companies. This is something the industry nowadays should encourage further”
